Year 5’s Powerful Portals

As part of our English unit of work Year 5 will be writing their own portal story over the next week, but what is a portal story without a portal! In groups the children used our wonderful outdoor area to create their own magical portals. Once complete, they took it in turns to go through blindfolded and describe in depth to their group what they could see on the other side. Such rich description and creativity came from today’s task and will have a huge impact on their writing next week.
