Year 6 - Exploring use of Chiaroscuro in Art
Year 6 have really enjoyed exploring use of chiaroscuro, which an Italian term which translates as light-dark, to give the illusion of 3D form. They used masking tape, charcoal and rubbing out of specific areas to create the 3D illusion. They are looking forward to using this technique in their final art piece of this ‘Make your Voice Heard’ unit, which will convey a powerful word or message.
We look forward to seeing how your final pieces turn out Year 6!
