Year 1 – Practicing our ‘impasto’ art technique!

Year 1 have wowed us with their wonderful exploration of primary colours and using the impasto paint technique where paint is applied thickly to develop texture. The children worked incredibly hard to create their own impasto numbers, inspired by Jasper Johns.
