Trip to the Black Country Living Museum

Year One became time travellers for the day when they visited the Black Country Living Museum! As a part of their learning in history, the children explored the differences between school as they know it and school in the past. During the visit they experienced a lesson in a Victorian school, meeting a very stern School Mam. They were fascinated by how children were taught in the past and horrified at punishments such as the cane and being shamed at the front of the class. We are sure some of their grownups will have heard all about this!
