Olympic Torch Relay

Last week, we welcomed the Olympic Torch to Springdale! The torch has been travelling around schools across the city to celebrate the upcoming summer games in Paris. Penn Hall delivered the torch to us, and after spending some time learning about the history of the Olympic Torch and announcing our design winners, Sport Council continued the torch's journey by walking with it to Penn Fields School. A huge well done and thank you to all of the children who entered the 'Design an Olympic Torch' competition - an amazing variety in the entries and it was so tricky to pick just one winner per year group! Well done everyone!
